우간다 공화국은 아프리카 중앙에 있는 공화국이다.

아프리카의 진주라고 불리는 우간다는 빅토리아 호수의 풍부한 수자원과, 자연의 신비를 느끼게 하는 아름다운 루웬조리 산(Mt. Ruwenzori)과 야생동물이 뛰어다니는 대평원 등 개발이 되지 않아 오히려 빛을 발하고 있는 빼어난 자연경관을 지니고 있다. 유네스코에서 세계 유산으로 여러 개를 지정할 정도로 아름다운 나라이며, 영화 몬도가네와 타잔의 촬영지로도 유명하다.

Uganda is a landlocked country (except for bordering a lake) in East-Central Africa. The sovereign state bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the south-west by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania. The southern part of the country includes a substantial portion of Lake Victoria, shared with Kenya and Tanzania. Uganda is in the African Great Lakes region. Uganda also lies within the Nile basin, and has a varied but generally a modified equatorial climate.

ウガンダ共和国は、東アフリカに位置する共和制国家で、イギリス連邦加盟国である。東にケニア、南にタンザニア、南西にルワンダ、西にコンゴ民主共和国、北に南スーダンとの国境に囲まれた内陸国である。首都はカンパラ。 ナイル川（白ナイル）の始まるヴィクトリア湖に接している。旧イギリス植民地。
