이는 실과 곡물을 뜻하는 라틴어 단어에서 만들어진 이탈리아어 단어에서 유래되었다.

주로 금과 은 표면을 장식하는 데 사용된다.

필그리 세공은 또한 섬세하거나 복잡한 디자인의 장식용 투각 세공품이나

케빈은 불과 13세에 세공을 시작했다.

It comes from an Italian word made from the Latin words for thread and grain.

Today filigree is usually of fine wire of gold, silver, or copper, and is used chiefly

to decorate gold and silver surfaces. Filigree can also apply to any ornamental

openwork of delicate or intricate design or to a pattern or design resembling such openwork

 

Kevin began making filigree at just 13 years of age. In 2000, 

he ventured into his first experimental filigree 

with an innovative exhibition of filigree sculptures.

He has also developed his own signature trays and real masks made with thicker wire.

Strong of his 44 years of experience with filigree, Kevin Attard, Master Filigree Craftsman

from Malta, will build the first and only 18k Gold Filigree Museum in the world, 

and gift Malta with a long
lasting legacy built around a set of exceptional gold filigree Masterpieces.
 he Museum will propose an immersive journey through the universe 

and history of Maltese filigree 
art in a permanent exhibition entitled "Malta Cross Gold Filigree Museum by Kevin Attard".
