아일랜드 더블린 시청 홀

아일랜드 더블린 시청은 상징적인 곳과 실질 업무를 보는 콘슬이 다르다.

이곳은 주로 결혼식장으로 대여하는 홀로 

더블린 시청은 더블린 시의회의 본부다.
시장과 도시가 있는 곳으로 
의원들이 회의를 열고 논의 하는 곳이다.
1779년에 왕실 엑스체인지로 완성되었다.
더블린 상인이 금융으로 사용했다가
더블린 코퍼레이션이 건물을 인수할 때까지
1851년에, 변화의 프로그램에 이어,
1852년에 시청으로 재개되었으나

1824년에 원래 난간이 무너져 여러명이 사망했다.
목격을 위해 모인 군중의 1866년까지
회사는 임시 난간을 현재의 디자인

건물은 2년 동안 수리되어 지금의 모습이다. 
1998-2000년 리모델링 프로그램으로 
18세기 이전의 영광으로 복원되었다.

에든버러 출신의 토마스 드러먼드 대위

(1797년 10월 10일~1840년 4월 15일)는

스코틀랜드 육군 장교이자 토목 기사이자 고위 공무원이었다.

그는 영국과 아일랜드의 삼각 측량 조사에 사용된 Drummond 조명을 사용했다.

그는 때때로 Goldsworthy Gurney경의 희생으로

각광의 발명에 대한 공로를 인정받았다.

그러나 측량에서 그 가치를 깨달은 사람은 드러몬드였다.

헨리 그라탄
서쪽 계단 옆에는 헨리의 또 다른 동상이 있다.
그라탄(1746~1820). 그라탄은 아일랜드의 일원이었다.
하원과 입법 운동가
18세기 후반 아일랜드 의회의 자유. 그는
왕국을 합병한 1800년  영국과 아일랜드 연합법에 반대했다.

 

 

 

City Hall is the headquarters of Dublin City Council 
and the place where the Lord Mayor and City 
Councillors hold meetings to discuss present and 
future plans for Dublin. City Hall was originally built 
as the Royal Exchange and was completed in 1779. 
It was used by the merchants of Dublin as a financial 
centre until Dublin Corporation bought the building 
in 1851. Following a programme of alterations, it 
was re-opened as City Hall in 1852. In 1824 the 
original balustrade had collapsed killing a number 
of people in the crowd who were gathered to witness 
a public flogging, and it was not until 1866 that the 
Corporation replaced the temporary railings with the 
current design. The building underwent a two-year 
refurbishment programme in 1998 – 2000 and has now 
been restored to its former eighteenth century glory. 

 

Captain Thomas Drummond (10 October 1797 – 15 April 1840), 

from Edinburgh was a Scottish army officer, 

civil engineer and senior public official. He used the Drummond light 

which was employed in the trigonometrical survey of Great Britain 

and Ireland. He is sometimes mistakenly given credit for the invention of limelight, 

at the expense of Sir Goldsworthy Gurney.

 It was Drummond, however, who realised its value in surveying.

 

Daniel O'Connell (Irish: Dónall Ó Conaill; 6 August 1775 – 15 May 1847), hailed in his time as The Liberator, was the acknowledged 

political leader of Ireland's Roman Catholic majority in the first half of the 19th century. 

 

Charles Lucas (16 September 1713 – 4 November 1771)

 was an Irish apothecary, physician and politician. 

He sat as Member of Parliament for Dublin City 

and was known as the "Irish Wilkes" because of his radical views 

 

Henry Grattan
Beside the west staircase is another statue, that of Henry Grattan (1746–1820). Grattan was a member of the Irish House of Commons 

and a campaigner for legislative freedom for the Irish Parliament

 in the late 18th century. He opposed the Act of Union 1800

 that merged the Kingdoms of Ireland and Great Britain
