약 150 년 전 게이오 3 년 (1868), 막부 시대의, 고베 교토 오미야에서에서 료마를 암살 했던 당시 고베 항이  열렸다

그  당시, 생산 및 도매 우지 차 교토 마을 티와 즈 카 마을에서 운영 했다. 코, 마쓰다이라 가족의 상인 1874년에 현재  고베 모토 마치 상점가에서 우지 차 소매점을 열었다. 우지 차의 소매와  함께 커피 콩의 수입에 하고 커피와 숍을 열어 자유롭게 커피 판매를 메이지 11년 (1878)의 요미우리 신문에서 광고를 게시.

이곳이  일본에서 가장 오래 된 커피가 가게를 연 곳이다. 그 당시 가게 앞은  북적거렸으며  메이지 15년"풍부한 커피의  전달자로 신문에 기재됨,  현재 고베 시립 박물관에서 출판된 내용 보관,. 당시 사용된 커피 콩, 인도로부터 수입했다. 목판에 묘사된 상점 표시는 또한 "인도-아성" 의 간판이며 구다니와 함께 아주 오래됨 명소 커피 전문점과 커피 판매를 한다.

About 150 years ago in the year of Keio 3 (1868), at the end of the Edo period, the Kobe port was opened in Kobe in the Omiya of Kyoto, when Ryoma was assassinated. At that time, the production and wholesale of Uji tea was operated in Wazuka village, which is the village of Kyoto tea. The Kodo, a merchant of the Matsudaira family, opened a retail store for Uji tea in the Kobe Motomachi shopping street in the present year in 1874. In parallel with the retail of Uji tea, we also worked on the import of coffee beans, and published ads in the Yomiuri newspaper of the Meiji 11 (1878) to sell coffee and the freedom to drink in the store.

This is the origin that is called the oldest coffee shop in the Japan. The bustle in front of the shop at that time was published in the Kobe City Museum in the Meiji 15 woodblock print "Kai of the wealthy kami-Minato" is now being conveyed. The coffee beans that were used at the time were conveyed as India, but the signs of the shops depicted in this woodcut are also "Indian-Shing" and are backed by it.

約１５０年前の慶応３年（１８６８年）、時代は幕末、京都の近江屋で坂本竜馬が暗殺された年に神戸では新たに神戸港が開港され、諸外国との貿易の幕を開けました。その頃、京都の茶の里である和束村で宇治茶の製造・卸を営み、松平家のお抱え商人であった放香堂は、明治７年（１８７４年）に現在の神戸元町商店街において宇治茶の小売り店を開店させました。また宇治茶の小売りと並行させてコーヒー豆の輸入も手掛け、明治１１年（１８７８年）の讀賣新聞にコーヒーの販売および店内での飲用自由を謳った広告を掲載したのです。

これが「日本で最古のコーヒー店」といわれる由来となっています。当時の店前のにぎわいは、神戸市立博物館に展示されている明治１５年発刊の木版画「豪商神兵湊の魁」が今に伝えています。当時使用していたコーヒー豆はインド産と伝えられていますが、この木版画に描かれているお店の看板にも「印度産加琲」とありそれを裏付けています。
