몰타 독일인 소사이어티 댄스 파티

필자가 독일인 가톨릭 교회와 독일인 교회에 들러서 미사를 드리는 이유는

독일어를 귀에 익히려는 목적때문에 몰타 거주하는 독일 소사이어티를 안다.

대부분 교회, 가톨릭 교회 신자들로 구성된 사람들이다. 

독일인이 몰타에 그다지 많이 살지는 않지만 대부분 노년층이다. 

교회, 가톨릭 교회 이들을 중심으로 독일인이 작지만 그들만의 리그다.

참, 재미없는 댄스파티였지만  참가하지 않기도 어려운 자리였다. 

 

 

몰타는 1964년부터 독립 국가였으며 독일은 1965 년부터 외교 관계를 유지했다.

독일은 몰타의 가장 중요한 경제 및 무역 파트너 중 하나이며

현재 약 60개의 독일 기업이 몰타에서 활동하고 있다.

독일의 직접투자는 최근 175억 유로를 기록했다.

몰타에서 네 번째로 큰 방문객 그룹은 독일 관광객이다.

발레타에 기반을 둔 독일-몰타 서클은 1962년부터

몰타와 독일 간의 문화적 관계를 발전시켜 왔다.

언어 수업을 제공하고 전시회, 영화 상영 및 콘서트와 같은 행사를 조직하여

국내에 괴테 인스티투트의 부재로 인한 공백을 메우고 있다.

1991년에 설립되어 아데나우에 본부를 둔 독일-몰타 협회는

독일과 몰타의 관계를 증진하기 위해 노력하는 독립적인 비영리 단체다.

행사를 조직하고, 수학 여행에 대한 (재정적) 지원을 제공하며,

본에서 매년 열리는 유럽의 날 축하 행사에 참여하고 있다.

브레멘 대학교에 위치한 브레멘 몰타 센터는

국제 몰타 언어학 협회

(International Association for Maltese Linguistics) 컨퍼런스를

개최하고 몰타어 과정을 제공한다.

센터의 도서관에는 몰타어로 된 1100권 이상의 책이 있다.

또한 몰타 대학교와 몰타 예술, 과학 및 기술 대학 사이에는

다양한 독일 교육 기관과 여러 공동 프로젝트가 있다.

연방 외무부는 지중해 외교 아카데미

(Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies)에서

지중해 지역의 평화 연구 및 분쟁 예방 의장

(Chair in the Mediterranean Studies)에 자금을 지원하고 있다.

 

Malta has been an independent state since 1964

and Germany has maintained diplomatic relations with the country since 1965.

Germany is one of Malta’s most important economic and trading partners,

with approximatels 60 German companies currently operating in Malta.

German direct investment stood lately at 17.5 billion euro.

The fourth-largest group of visitors in Malta are German tourists.

The German-Maltese Circle based in Valletta has fostered cultural relations

between Malta and Germany since 1962.

It offers language classes and organises events such as exhibitions,

film screenings and concerts, thus filling the gap caused

by the absence of a Goethe-Institut in the country.

The German-Maltese Association founded in 1991 and based

in Adenau is an independent non-profit organisation working

to promote relations between Germany and Malta.

It organises events, provides (also financial) support for school trips

and is involved in the annual Europe Day celebrations in Bonn.

The Bremen Malta Centre based at Bremen University holds conferences

of the International Association for Maltese Linguistics

and offers courses in Maltese. The Centre’s library is home to more than

1100 books in the Maltese language.

There are also a number of joint projects between the University of Malta

and the Malta College of Arts, Science

and Technology with various German educational institutions.

The Federal Foreign Office is funding a Chair in Peace Studies

and Conflict Prevention in the Mediterranean area

at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies.

 

マルタは1964年から独立国家であり、ドイツは1965年から国交を維持しています。

ドイツはマルタの最も重要な経済および貿易相手国の1つであり、

現在約60のドイツ企業がマルタで事業を展開しています。

ドイツの直接投資は17.5十億ユーロに最近立った。

マルタで4番目に多いのはドイツ人観光客です。

バレッタに拠点を置くドイツ・マルタ・サークルは、

1962年以来、マルタとドイツの文化関係を育んできました。

語学クラスを提供し、展示会、映画上映、

コンサートなどのイベントを開催し、

国内にゲーテ・インスティトゥートがないことによるギャップを埋めています。

1991年に設立され、アデナウに拠点を置くドイツ・マルタ協会は、

ドイツとマルタの関係を促進するために活動する独立した非営利団体です。

イベントを開催し、修学旅行を(財政的にも)支援し、

ボンで毎年開催されるヨーロッパデーの祝賀会に参加しています。

ブレーメン大学に本拠を置くブレーメン・マルタ・センターは、

国際マルタ語学協会の会議を開催し、マルタ語のコースを提供しています。

センターの図書館には、マルタ語で書かれた1100冊以上の本があります。

また、マルタ大学とマルタ芸術科学技術大学の間には、

ドイツのさまざまな教育機関との共同プロジェクトも数多くあります。

連邦外務省は、地中海外交研究アカデミーの地中海地域における

平和研究と紛争予防の講座に資金を提供しています。
