John Brady lives with his wife Gayle in Bray with their five children.
A member of Wicklow County Council from 2011 to 2016, he was elected TD for Wicklow in 2016.
As Sinn Féin Spokesperson for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, he played a leading role in exposing the flawed JobPath Scheme, addressing bogus self-employment and banning zero hour contracts.
He is currently campaigning against Government proposals to increase the pension age to 68. As a leading campaigner on housing and homelessness, he has worked for measures to cut rents and build homes.
The sole opposition voice for Wicklow, he is working hard to end the neglect of the county and pushing for key infrastructural projects, including an upgrade of the rail line between Bray and Arklow and essential N81 improvement works.

since the 2016 general election .He had been a member of Wicklow County Council from 2011 to 2016
and also a member of Bray Town Council from 2004 to 2014.
