지부티 공화국(지부티 와코), 통칭 지부티는 아프리카 북동부에 위치한 공화제 국가.수도는 지부티 시.,공용어는 아랍어로 아라비아 반도에 극히 가깝고 아랍 연맹의 회원국이기 때문에 중동에 포함되는 경우도 있다.에리트레아, 에티오피아, 소말리아와 접하며 홍해, 아덴만을 마주한다.

Djibouti  is a country located in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by the disputed territory of Somaliland, which is claimed by Somalia, in the southeast, Ethiopia in the south and west, Eritrea in the north, and the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden in the east. Across the Gulf of Aden lies Yemen, which does not share a land border with Djibouti. The country has a total area of 23,200 km2  The state of Djibouti is predominantly inhabited by two ethnic groups, the Somali and the Afar people. The Somalis form the major ethnic group of the country.
