Kevin Attard는 아버지의 작업장에서 보석을 수선하는 동안 어린 나이부터 

공예에 관심을 보이기 시작했다.

그는 세공 세공 기술을 훈련했고 자신의 작업장을 차리기 전에

발레타의 주요 보석상 중 한 곳에서 일했다.

프리랜서 장인으로 시작한 이후 그는 몰타의 전통적인 선조 기법을 보존하면서

혁신적이고 현대적인 선조를 만드는 데 주력했으며,

주얼리에서 추상 조각에 이르기까지 모든 것을 세심하게 제작했다.

미래 세대의 선조 세공 예술가들과 자신의 경험을 공유하는 데

열정적이며 정기적으로 몰타의 주요 교육 기관에서 수업과 강의를 진행하고

견습생을 교육하여 이 전통 공예가 양육되고 보존되도록 한다.

Kevin Attard began to show an interest in crafts from a young age, 

while he was working in his father’s workshop mending jewellery. 

He trained in the craftsmanship of filigree, and before setting up his own workshop,

 he worked in one of the leading jewellery shops in Valletta. 

Since launching as a freelance craftsman, he has focused on creating innovative

 and modern filigree while preserving traditional Maltese filigree techniques, 

meticulously crafting everything from jewellery to abstract sculptures. 

Passionate about sharing his experience with future generations of filigree artists,

 he regularly runs lessons and lectures in Malta’s leading educational institutions 

and trains apprentices, to ensure this traditional craft is nurtured and preserved.
