몰타 성 요셉의 날

 

 

몰타 주변의 여러 본당에서는 여름철에 성 요셉을 기념하지만,

 몰타에서는 성 요셉의 공휴일을 3월 19일로 정하고 항상 사순절 기간에 열린다.
몰타는 3월 19일에 성인을 기념하는 유일한 장소가 아니다.

이탈리아, 스페인, 포르투갈, 폴란드와 같이 로마 카톨릭의 영향이 큰

다른 국가에서도 봄 전 축제를 개최다.

 

이 날은 서기 10세기부터 특별한 날로 기념되어 왔고, 

사순절 기간이기 때문에 잔치상에서는 고기 대신 생선을 먹는 경우가 많다.
많은 특별 미사가 거행되며, 대부분은 국립 성 요셉 성당, 

예수 성모 마리아 교회 및 기타 장소에서 거행된다.

 

While various parishes around Malta celebrate Saint Joseph during 

the summer months, the public holiday of Saint Joseph is set on

 March 19th in Malta, always occurring during Lent.
Malta isn't the only place that celebrates the saint on March 19th -

other countries in which there is a large Roman Catholic influence -

such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Poland also lay out

the festivities for the pre-spring day.

 

The day has been celebrated as a special day since the 10th century AD,

 and as a result of it falling during Lent,

 fish is usually substituted for meat on feasting tables.
A lot of special masses take place, most of which are held 

at the National Sanctuary of Saint Joseph,

 the Church of Saint Mary of Jesus, and some other locations.

 

 

マルタ周辺の多くの教区では夏の間に聖ヨセフを祝いますが、

マルタでは聖ヨセフの祝日は 3 月 19 日に祝われ、常に四旬節中に祝われます。
3 月 19 日に聖人を祝うのはマルタだけではありません。

イタリア、スペイン、ポルトガル、ポーランドなどローマ カトリックの

影響が強い国でも、春前の祭りが開催されます。

 

この日は西暦 10 世紀から特別な日として祝われており、

四旬節であるため、ごちそうには肉の代わりに魚がよく食べられます。
多くの特別ミサが祝われますが、そのほとんどは国立聖ヨセフ大聖堂、

イエズスとマリアの聖母教会、その他の場所で行われます。
