라오스 신년
부처시대 달력에 따르면 매년 4월 14일부터 16일까지 일년 중 가장 더운 시기에 성대하게 기념된다.
그런데 부처님이 돌아가신 다음 해부터 부처님 달력이 세어졌는데, 올해는 2562년이다!
라오스 태국과 미얀마, 캄보디아는 동시에 새해를 기념한다. 나라별 신년이 다르지만

동남 아시아 국가 특히 불교 국가들은 비슷한 불기를 사용하고 신년으로 칭한다.
