우루과이 라운드

우루과이에서 개최되었기 때문에 우루과이라운드라고 한다.

1987년부터 본격적으로 진행되고 있는 GATT의 새로운 다자간 무역협상(Multinational Trade Negotiations)을 통칭한다.

세계 각국이 교역의 이익을 도모하기 위해서 국제적 교역질서를 수립하려는 다각적 무역교섭으로서,

1980년대 초반 만연된 각국의 보호무역 추세를 보다 완화하여, 일방주의·쌍무주의·지역주의 등을 억제하고

다자무역체제를 강화하는 한편 세계의 무역자유화를 실현하기 위해 출범하였다.

It is called Uruguay Round because it was held in Uruguay.

The GATT's new Multilateral Trade Negotiations, which has been underway in earnest since 1987. As a multilateral trade negotiation aimed at establishing an international trade order for the benefit of trade, it was launched in the early 1980s to further ease the protection trade trend of each country that prevailed in the early 1980s to curb unilateralism, bilateralism and regionalism, strengthen the multilateral trading system, and realize the world's trade liberalization.

ウルグアイで開催されたのでウルグアイラウンドという。

1987年から本格的に進められているGATTの新しい多国間貿易交渉(Multinational Trade Negotiations)を通称する。 世界各国が貿易の利益を図るために国際的貿易秩序を樹立しようとする多角的貿易交渉として,1980年代初めに蔓延した各国の保護貿易の傾向をより緩和し,一方主義·双務主義·地域主義などを抑制し多国間貿易体制を強化する一方,世界の貿易自由化を実現するために発足した。
