독일인들을 위한 예배를 인도하는  파더 존

신부는 건강이 좋지 않은데도 매주 미사를 집전한다.
그분께 받은 석류를 보면 감사하고 하나님의 은혜가 생각난다.

 

 

 

발레타 성 바바라 교회
원래 교회는 1573년에 프로방스 랑그 기사단을 위해 지어졌으며, 

폭격수들의 교회였다. 1601년에 복원되었으며

1739년에 완전히 재건축되었다.

새로운 성 바바라 교회의 외관은 이탈리아 건축가 Romano Carapecchia가 디자인했다.

Carapecchia가 교회가 완공되기 전에 사망함에 따라

내부는 몰타 건축가 Giuseppe Bonici가 디자인했다.
교회 건물은 몰타 섬 국가 문화재 목록에 등재되어 있다.

건축학
교회는 바로크 양식으로 지어졌습니다. 정면 중앙,

문 바로 위에는 무염시태의 금박을 입힌 커다란 동상이 보인다.

무염시태의 희년을 기념하기 위해 1904년에 건립되었다.

내부적으로 교회는 중앙 집중적으로 계획되어 있으며 바로크 시대의

전형적인 타원형 돔을 가지고 있으며 이는 지역 교회에서는 매우 드문 특징이다.

 

이러한 문화 활동의 대부분은 1962년에 설립되어 Eminyan 신부가 

몇 년 동안 회장으로 봉사했던 독일-몰타 서클과 협력하여 개최되었다.

그는 또한 독일 연방 공화국 대사관과 긴밀한 관계를 발전시켰으며,

항상 차기 독일 대사들을 저녁 식사에 초대하여 지역 사회 구성원들을 만났니다.


몰타의 독일 목사단은 Auslandssekretariat der Deutschen Bischoefe

(독일 주교 회의)라고 불리는 100개국 160개 본당 네트워크의 일부를 형성하고 있으며, 

이 네트워크는 이들 공동체에 사제, 자금 및 조언을 제공한다.

네트워크는 또한 사제들이 경험을 교환할 수 있도록 2년마다 지역 회의를 개최한니다.

몰타에서는 두 번이나 열렸다.

몰타-독일 혼합 가족을 포함하여 약 100명의 커뮤니티 등록 회원이 있다

Sammut 신부는 예배와 사회 활동에서 그를 돕는 사목적 위원회(Kirchenvorstand)의 도움을 받는다.

When I see the pomegranate I received from him,

Church of Saint Barbara, Valletta
The original church was built in 1573 for the Provence Langue of the Order, 

it was the church of the bombardiers. It was restored in 1601 and completely rebuilt 

in 1739. The exterior of the new Church of St Barbara was designed by the Italian architect Romano Carapecchia. The interior was designed by the Maltese architect Giuseppe Bonici as Carapecchia died before the church was completed.
The church building is listed on the National Inventory of the Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands.

Architecture
The church was built in the baroque style. In the centre of the façade, 

just above the door,

one can see a large gilded statue of the Immaculate Conception.

It was erected in 1904 to commemorate the jubilee of the Immaculate Conception.

Internally, the church is centrally planned, having an oval dome typical of the baroque period

 and which is a very rare feature in local churches.

 

 

Many of these cultural activities were held in collaboration with the German-Maltese Circle, which had been set up in 1962, and where Fr Eminyan served 

for some years as president. He also developed a close relationship

 with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and always 

invited incoming German ambassadors 

to dinner to meet members of the community.


The German Chaplaincy in Malta forms part of a network of 160 parishes

 in 100 countries, called Auslandssekretariat der Deutschen Bischoefe

 (German Bishops’ Conference) which provides priests, funding and advice to these communities.

The network also holds regional conferences every two years for priests to exchange experiences. 

These have twice been held in Malta. 

There are about 100 registered members of the community, including mixed Maltese-German families. Fr Sammut is helped by a pastoral committee

 (Kirchenvorstand) who helps him in liturgical services and social activities.

The services are sometimes carried out jointly with the St Andreas Evangelical Church 

(based at the Scots church in South Street, Valletta) 

on such occasions as the feast of St Martin (November 11) and St Nicholas (December 6).
