더블린 국립 보타닉 가든

 

더블린 도심의 북서쪽에 위치한 국립 식물원은

19.5 헥타르는 글래스 네빈 묘지와 톨카 강

사이에 위치하고 있으며 강 범람 지역의 일부를 형성하고 있다.

정원은 1795년 더블린 협회(이후 로얄 더블린 협회)에 의해 설립되었으며,

현재는 공공 사업장을 통해 주 소유권을 가지고 있다.

 

더블린9 글래스 네빈에 위치한 국립 식물원은

전 세계의 다양한 서식지에서 15,000 종 이상의

식물 종과 품종을 보유한 정교한 식물 컬렉션으로 유명하다.

정원은 잘 복원되고 심어진 유리 하우스,

특히 터너 커빌리니아 레인지와 그레이트 팜 하우스로 유명하며

보존 건축의 우수성을 자랑하는 유럽 노스트라 상을 수상했다.

방문객들은 초본 국경, 장미 정원, 고산 정원, 연못 지역,

록 정원 및 수목원과 같은 특징을 즐길 수 있다.

보존 식물원 생활에서 중요한 역할을 하며,

글래스 네빈은 이미 야생에서 멸종된 6 종을 포함하여

전 세계의 멸종 위기 종 300 종 이상을 보유하고 있다.

무료 가이드 투어는 일요일에 제공되며,

평일 가이드 투어에는 소액의 요금이 부과된다.
정원은 일년 내내 많은 워크샵, 전시회 및 행사를 개최한다.

단, 현재는 코로나로 인하여 내부 식물원 입장 금지이며

주차장은 가까운 묘지 앞을 이용한다. 

 

여전히 아일랜드 더블린은 집회 금지,모임 금지다.

공휴일 GPO 앞은 경찰이 바리게이트를 치고 모든 집회를 막고 있다.

특히 개인 집에 4명 이상 초대하면 신고 대상이며 벌금 500 유로다.

 

 

The National Botanic Gardens north-west of Dublin city centre, 

Ireland The 19.5 hectares are situated 

between Glasnevin Cemetery and the River Tolka 

where it forms part of the river's floodplain.

The gardens were founded in 1795 by the Dublin Society 

(later the Royal Dublin Society)

and are today in State ownership through the Office of Public Works.

 

Located in Glasnevin, County Dublin, the National Botanic Gardens are 

noted for their fine plant collections holding more than 15,000 plant species

and cultivars from a variety of habitats from around the world.

The gardens are famous for their exquisitely restored 

and planted glasshouses, notably the Turner Curvilinear Range 

and the Great Palm House, both recipients of the Europa Nostra award 

for excellence in conservation architecture. Visitors can enjoy such features 

as the herbaceous borders, rose garden, the alpine yard, 

the pond area, rock garden and arboretum.
Conservation plays an important role in the life of the botanic garden

and Glasnevin is home to more than 300 endangered plant species

from around the world including six species that are already extinct in the wild.

Free guided tours are available on Sundays. 

A small fee is charged for guided tours on weekdays.
The Gardens host many workshops, exhibitions and events throughout the year.

平日のガイド付きツアーには少額の料金がかかります。
