몰타는 조지아 공화국 같다.

한동안 조지아 공화국이 좋다고 떠들어대던 시절

필자가 한 달 가서 살아 본 결과 정말로 형편없는 나라였다.

시설과 환경이 아직은 선진국으로 가기에 요원하다는 점이다.

마찬가지로 몰타는 바다만 없다면 조지아 공화국과 별반 다르지 않다.

누런 건물들과  낯이 익지않은  도시 풍경이 도시도 아니고 그렇다고

시골도 아닌  어느 아랍 국가에 온 느낌도 든다.

 

해가 지는 것을 바라보면서 이질감이 너무 느껴진다.

몰타가 좋다는 사람들 대부분

유럽의 세금 폭탄 때문에 이주한 사람들이다.

그래서 더욱 집이 그리워지는 요즘이다.

미국은 그래도 음식도 맛있고 다닐 곳도 많고 친구도 많은데

어디를 가도 노인천지이며 뭔가

여기는 내가 살 곳이 아니라는 생각이 든다.

보통 2년이 고비인 것 같다. 3년부터 적응이 될지는 모르지만

몰타는 생각보다 여러모로 불편하다.

절대 선전이나 광고에 현혹되지 말기를.

 

 

There was a time when people were talking about the Republic of Georgia.
After living there for a month, the I found that the country was truly terrible.
The fact is that the facilities and environment are

still far from being developed into developed countries.
Likewise, Malta is not much different from the Republic of Georgia except for the sea.
The yellow buildings and unfamiliar cityscape are not even a city.
I feel like I'm in an Arab country, not even in the countryside.
As I watch the sun set, I feel a very foreign feeling.
Most people who say they like Malta are people

who immigrated because of the European tax bomb.
So these days, I miss home even more.
In America, the food is delicious,

there are places to go, and I have a lot of friends.
No matter where I go, it's a place for old people

and I feel like this is not the place for me to live.
I think usually 2 years is the critical period.

I don't know if you will get used to it after 3 years, but Malta is
It's more uncomfortable in many ways than I thought.

Never be deceived by propaganda or advertisements.

 

人々がジョージア共和国について話していた時代がありました。
一ヶ月住んでみて、この国は本当にひどい国だということがわかりました。
設備や環境はまだまだ先進国には程遠いのが現状です。
同様に、マルタも海を除けばジョージア共和国とあまり変わりません。
黄色い建物と見慣れない街並みは都市ですらない。
田舎でもないのにアラブの国にいるような気分です。
沈む夕日を眺めていると、とても異国情緒を感じます。
マルタが好きだと言う人のほとんどは、

ヨーロッパの税金爆弾のために移民した人たちです。
だから最近はますます家が恋しいです。
アメリカは食べ物も美味しいし、

行くところもあるし、友達もたくさんいます。
どこに行っても老人の場所で、

ここは自分の住む場所ではないと感じます。
通常2年くらいが臨界期だと思います。

3年も経てば慣れるか分かりませんが、マルタは
思ったより色々な意味で不便です。

決してプロパガンダや広告に騙されないでください。
