아일랜드에 Astorm Barra 강타

대개 아일랜드나 잉글랜드에 태풍이 없다고 생각하는 경우가 많은데

하리케인급 태풍이 잦은 편이다. 

강력한 돌풍, 폭우, 눈보라가 폭풍 바라의 강타가 시작되었다.
이 폭풍은 화요일 아침에 상륙하여 적어도 12,000채의 가옥과

사업체가 정전되었고 이미 남부 지역에 홍수를 일으켰다.

학교와 3급 기관은 전국 일부 지역에서 폐쇄된 상태로 유지될 것이며,

히스케어 서비스, 대중교통, 전력 공급도 폭풍의 영향을 받을 것이다.고 했다.
메트 아이런은 케리, 코크, 클레어 카운티에 대한 붉은 경고가 화요일과 수요일에

폭풍 바라가 악천후를 가져오기 때문에 "생명에 위협"을 줄 수 있다고 말했다.

메트 아이레안 아일랜드 일기예보에 따르면 눈, 강풍, 영하의 기온이 경고된다.
북풍은 시속 50km를 넘는 평균 속도에 도달할 것으로

예상되며 돌풍은 시속 90km를 초과할 것으로 예상된다.고했다.

아일랜드, 잉글랜드는 날씨가 최악인데다  더구나 태풍이 잦다.

 

Powerful gusts of wind, heavy rain and snow showers

have signalled the arrival of Storm Barra.
The storm has already caused some flooding in the south of the country

as it made landfall on Tuesday morning and has left at least

12,000 homes and businesses without power.
Schools and third-level institutions will remain closed

in parts of the country today, while heathcare services,

public transport and power supply will also be affected by the storm.
Met Éireann has said the status red warning in place for counties Kerry, Cork

and Clare could pose a “threat to life”

as Storm Barra brings disruptive weather on Tuesday and Wednesday.
