작품의 입가와 옥로 불리는 동그란 원를 들여다보면 맞은 편의 문양이 나온다. 그

 무늬가 빛의 굴절에 의해서 만화경과 같이 퍼져, 숨은 무늬를 낳는다.

Edo-style cutters maximize the brilliance of their works by using crystal glass as a material and acid-brushing them exclusively for finishing. その素材に、業界で初めて、瑞宝単光章を受章した職人が、菊つなぎ紋や籠目紋といった

伝統紋様を熟練の技で1つ1つ丹念にカットしていく。

菊つなぎ紋や籠目紋は、線がとても細かくカットに高い集中力と技術を要するが、

出来上がりの美しさは群を抜いており、江戸切子の魅力を引き立てるのである。さらに、

作品の口元や、玉と呼ばれる丸い窪みを覗くと、向かいの紋様が写し出される。

その紋様が光の屈折によって万華鏡の様に広がり、隠れた紋様を生み出す。
