몰타 어부 마을 Marsaxlokk

몰타의 어부촌 Marsaxlokk인데 일요 마켓으로 더 유명하다.

배를 보면 알듯이 요트나 관광용이 아니라 실제 어촌의 배다.

여기서 나온 생선을 팔고 레스토랑을 운영하는

어촌의 분위기는 고즈넉하다.

몰타에는 곳곳에 오렌지 나무가 있다.

하지만 시중 판매하는 오렌지와 다르다.

매우 신 맛만 있으므로 관상용이으로 더 좋을 듯하다.

생선은 각종 도미, 가자미, 전복, 오징어, 낙지 등 다양하다.

 

Marsaxlokk는 몰타 남동부 지역에 있는 작고 전통적인 어촌 마을이다.

항구가 있으며 전망, 어부 및 역사로 유명한 관광 명소다.

2014년 3월 현재 이 마을의 인구는 3,534명이다.

이 마을은 또한 주로 일요일에는 해안가를 따라 열리는

대형 수산 시장인 Marsaxlokk 시장과

다른 요일에는 관광 시장으로 유명하다.

고대부터 사람이 거주하고 잘 알려진 Marsaxlokk는

페니키아인, 카르타고인이 항구로 사용했으며 로마 시대 항구의 유적도 있다. 
Marsaxlokk는 때때로 Portus Herculis라고도 하는데,

이는 Marsaxlokk 만이 Tas-Silġ에 있는

로마 및 포에니 유적지와 연관되어 있기 때문이다.

 

 

Marsaxlokk  is a small, traditional fishing village in the South Eastern Region of Malta.

 It has a harbour, and is a tourist attraction known for its views, fishermen 

and history. As of March 2014, the village had a population of 3,534. 

The village is also known for the Marsaxlokk Market, which is mainly a large fish market 

which takes place along the seafront on Sundays, and a tourist market during 

all other days of the week. Inhabited and well-known since antiquity, 

Marsaxlokk was used as a port by Phoenicians, 

Carthaginians and also has the remains of a Roman-era harbour.

Originally a part of the city of Żejtun, 

the fishing village became a separate parish

 in the late nineteenth century.
Marsaxlokk is sometimes referred to as Portus Herculis,

due to the association of Marsaxlokk Bay

with the Roman and Punic remains at Tas-Silġ

 

マルサシュロックは、マルタの南東部にある小さな伝統的な漁村です。

マルサシュロックは古代から人が住み、

よく知られていましたが、フェニキア人、

カルタゴ人によって港として使用され、

ローマの港の遺跡もあります。
マルサシュロックだけがタスシリーのローマ時代とポエニの遺跡に

関連付けられているため、

マルサシュロックはポルトゥス ヘラクレスと呼ばれることもあります。
