더블린 성에서 열린 Swiss 'artivist' Dan Acher 의 오로라

헬러윈데이 일환으로 더블린에서는 인터넷으로 선착순 입장을 공개하였다.

올해의 Bram Stoker Festival에서 스위스의 '예술가' Dan Acher는 

그의 매혹적인 설치물 Borealis의 아일랜드 초연을 통해 

더블린 성의 Upper Courtyard에 오로라를 가져왔다.
Borealis를 사용하여 많은 사람들이 함께 모여 경외심을 가질 수 있도록

도시 광장이나 공원에서 오로라의 경험을 재현하려고 했다.

도시를 잘 알고 있더라도 거리와 건물은 Borealis 아래에서 새로운 의미를 갖는다.

개인적인 경험에 따르면 우리에게 익숙한 공공 장소의 감정적 맥락을

변화시킴으로써 우리는 도시와 도시를 공유하는 사람들에 대해 생각하는

방식을 바꿀 수 있다고 말할 수 있다. 더블린 캐슬에서 직접 시도했다.

새로운 방식의 페스티벌은 이미 건물이나 광고에서도 많이 사용하는 방법이지만

직접 성에서 쏘아올린 광경은 경이로운 풍경이었다.

 

For this year's Bram Stoker Festival, Swiss 'artivist' Dan Acher 

held the Northern Lights to the Upper Courtyard of Dublin Castle, 

via the Irish premiere of his mesmerising installation Borealis - he introduced the project below.

With Borealis, I’ve tried to recreate the experience of the Northern Lights

in any city square or park so

that large numbers of people can gather and look up in awe,

together.

so to a sense of connection between people

witnessing this together. And even if you know your city well,

streets and buildings take on new meaning under Borealis.

From personal experience I can say that by transforming

the emotional context of the public spaces we’re used to,

we can shift the way we think about our city and the people we share it with.

Tried  this out for himself at Dublin Castle.
