스위스 샤푸하우젠 라인 폭포

취리히에서 기차로 1시간 정도 가는 사푸하우젠이라는 곳이 있으며

이곳에서 다시 전차로 3분 가는  라인 폭포가 유럽에서 가장 유명한 폭포다.

라인 폭포는 스위스 샤프하우젠주와 취리히주 경계 지점에 위치한 유럽 최대의 폭포이다.

높이 23m, 폭 150m이며 겨울철 평균 유속 250 m³/s, 여름철 평균 유속 600 m³/s이다.

 

They are 150 metres (490 ft) wide and 23 metres (75 ft) high. In the winter months, the average water flow is 250 m³/s (8,800 cu ft/s), while in the summer, the average water flow is 600 m³/s (21,000 cu ft/s). The highest flow ever measured was 1,250 cubic metres per second (44,000 cu ft/s) in 1965; and the lowest, 95 cubic metres per second (3,400 cu ft/s) in 1921
