달마

오우메시  달마 기원은 1596년  시작 되었다고 하며 실제 1441 열렸다고들 한다. 양잠과 대나무 가업이 중심었으며  달마 눈썹부치는데 쌀가루도 판매 되 고 되었으며 달마의 유행은 약 180년 전 부활한 새로운 달마로 유명하다.매년 정초 희망을 가진 사람들이 달마를 사려고 멀리서 몰려온다.달마는 한 쪽의 눈만 칠하고 성공하거나 달성하면 두 눈에 칠을 한다. 하지만 1년 지나면 전부 사찰에 가져가 태우는 것이 원칙이다.

青梅だるま市の起源は古く、文禄5年（1596年）頃に始まった六斎市（ろくさいいち：毎月六回の二日と七日の日に青梅街道で織物を主とした物々交換の市）とも、嘉吉元年（1441年）頃に開かれた市とも云われている。  産業の中心であった養蚕の繁栄を祈り「まゆ玉（米粉を繭の形に団子にしたもの）」を笹の枝にいくつもつけたものが売られていたが、約180年前から縁起物として「だるま」も売られるようになったという。  現在では、青梅はもとより、遠方からも縁起物の「だるま」を買い求める人々で賑わう
